The Challenge

Our client, Rollease Acmeda have a product line called LOOV, which is a highly customised range of plantation shutters. Every single LOOV order is a custom, made to order product and must have a detailed order form to capture all the required variables and measurements.

Prior to Cadence’s solution, the process for customers to submit an order to LOOV was handled via an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet did not contain any validation which meant customers were able to submit incomplete and incorrect orders. Rollease Acmeda needed to have a highly trained staff member carefully check over every order form to confirm the order was correct. When mistakes were found on an order, it created a lot of back and forth between Rollease Acmeda and the customer which was becoming time consuming.

The Cadence Solution

Cadence Software built a custom online portal, referred to as the LOOV Order Management System, for Rollease Acmeda and their customers. The order management system enables customers to login to a secure web application where they can view, create, submit, and manage LOOV orders. The portal contains data validation throughout the order form so that only accurate and complete orders can be submitted. The LOOV Order Management System also contains a workflow process to track and manage the stages of the order process. I.e. Order Created, Order Submitted, Order Approved, Sent to Factory, Manufacturing, Ready for Shipping, On Ship etc…



There are several key benefits of the LOOV Order Management System that Cadence Software delivered for our client:

- Rollease Acmeda no longer needs to have a staff member manually review every LOOV order
- Only accurate and complete orders can be submitted
- There is considerably less need for communication back and forth between Rollease Acmeda and their customers about inaccurate order forms, which saves time and confusion
- All orders can be tracked and managed in one central location, rather than having orders sitting in various staff members email inboxes
- Customers can login to the portal to check the status of their orders for themselves, instead of having to contact Rollease Acmeda for updates
